Green dates for your diary
Autumn is a busy season for the world of sustainability, kicking off in early September with Zero Waste Week and rolling into October with ReLondon's exciting Circular Economy Week (#CEweek2024), followed by Wrap's Recycling Week.
There are many ways to get involved and smash your waste targets for this year. Make sure you're following us on social media to find out more – you’ll find links to all these events below, as well as further information.
Zero Waste Week
Kick off September with Zero Waste Week. Starting on 2 September, this award-winning, grassroots annual awareness campaign occurs online and on the ground. Householders, businesses, organisations, schools, universities and community groups are all encouraged to reduce landfill waste.
ReLondon’s Circular Economy Week
Save the date: ReLondon's Circular Economy Week starts on 30 September. #CEweek2024 is one of a series of global conferences and platforms that bring together changemakers to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.
Join A Good Thing CIC and fellow ReLondon circular community members, Streetbox and Community TechAid, for an inspiring showcase event. Discover how your business can make a positive social impact through the sharing and circular economy. During this session, you'll learn how engaging with local circular activities can transform your business's approach to sustainability and community engagement.
Event title: Lunch and learn: how your business can engage in the circular economy and do a good thing!
Date: Tuesday 1 October
Time: 12:00 pm
Recycling Week 2024
This year’s Recycle Week theme is ‘Rescue Me’. The campaign will run from 14 - 20 October 2024, focusing on rescuing recyclable items from the rubbish bin.
Boots and Tesco are sponsoring Recycle Week 2024 and supporting Wrap in their mission to inspire everyone to rescue those recyclables from the rubbish bin!
By recycling at least one extra item as part of our daily recycling routine will make a huge difference!
Net Zero Festival
We're delighted to partner with BusinessGreen's Net Zero Festival for a second year as the sustainability-focused event returns to north London during October this year.
The festival, taking place at the Business Design Centre on 22 and 23 October, will explore the risks and opportunities that will define the coming decade. It provides business leaders and senior sustainability executives with access to inspiring keynote speakers, thought-provoking debates, in-depth case studies, and the chance to network and connect with industry peers.
Visit the website for the agenda, full speaker line-up, and to secure your place. It's set to be bigger and better than ever!
