We created A Good Thing to make it easier for businesses to give away the things they no longer need, so that less goes to landfill and more to a good cause.
Our app is as simple as using eBay or Airbnb. Simply tell us what you want to donate and where you are, and we'll do the matchmaking.

- Does it cost anything?
Businesses generally use the platform for free. For priority matching and larger donations, see our business pricing page.
Charities can receive donations completely free.
- What can I donate?
- You can donate anything that is legal, including IT equipment, furniture, branded products, construction materials, food, training sessions, meeting rooms… Items can be new or used and you can donate one item or many! See our donated items policy.
- Where do you operate?
- We operate right across the UK.
- Do you collect the items?
- The charity you’re matched with will collect the items, yes.
- Who can receive donations?
Charities and community organisations that have one of these:
- registration with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, the Scottish Charity Regulator or the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland
- registration as a Community Interest Company or Community Benefit Society
- HMRC charity tax status
