Meet the team
A Good Thing is run by a core team with volunteers across the UK.
Cathy Benwell
Co-founder
A former Home-Start Slough trustee, Cathy saw first-hand how far business donations can go.
Richard Benwell
Co-founder
Founder of SquaredUp, whose surplus laptops became the first A Good Thing match.
Rebecca Hall
Operations Lead
Rebecca keeps A Good Thing running day to day. She brings years of experience in retail, software, and the public sector.
…and our volunteers
Around thirty volunteers give their time and skills to A Good Thing — the work behind the platform that keeps businesses and charities finding each other.
