FarmAbility is looking for garden tools and wheelbarrows to support ongoing projects in Oxfordshire

FarmAbility gives young adults with autism and learning difficulties opportunities to engage in meaningful occupations through its co-farming programme. The charity is in need of gardening tools and wheelbarrows as it continues to expand across Oxfordshire.

The Charity:

FarmAbility works in partnership with farms and growing spaces in Oxfordshire. The charity enables adults with learning difficulties to get involved in meaningful, creative and practical outdoor work. Every programme is personalised to each co-farmer, and activities include dog-walking, feeding horses, egg-collecting and/or making homemade food with the ingredients they grow. FarmAbility also runs pottery classes, hosts festivals and manages stalls to sell its produce. The charity helps over 50 people each week to build new friendships, and improve their confidence, mental well-being and physical fitness. The charity received the Innovation Award at the Oxfordshire Charity & Volunteer Awards in 2016.

The Project:

The charity needs to replace garden tools at most of its current sites, while new supplies are needed to support the opening of new sites around Oxfordshire. Wheelbarrows are essential to support co-farmers with their daily activities on the farms.

The ask:
