Kent’s only domestic abuse service for women, SATEDA, needs arts and crafts materials, clothes, and shoes

The Charity:

SATEDA, which stands for Support & Action To End Domestic Abuse, provides direct access to support, advocacy, and advice for women and children who have experienced or are currently experiencing domestic abuse.

Striving to break the cycle of domestic abuse and empower women to retake control of their lives, SATEDA supported 1,052 individuals in 2022 alone.

The Project:

SATEDA runs the ‘Sharewear’ project – where donations of clothing and shoes are offered for free to women and children facing financial difficulty. The charity is looking to partner with local businesses that have old excess stock that they need to get rid of.

As part of the project, SATEDA is also aiming to establish a club where volunteers recycle fabrics to make household items for the women the charity supports.

The Ask:

  • Arts and crafts – including buttons, elastics, Hessian, felt and fleece fabrics, cotton bias binding

  • Clothes and shoes – only requiring intimate wear to be brand new

Can you help?
