Belle Isle Senior Action in Leeds is seeking raffle prizes and items for a Christmas hamper

“We will do our utmost most to help you in any way that we can.”

The charity:

Belle Isle Senior Action, established in Leeds in 1985, helps elderly people with the costs of services in an area that is among the most deprived in the UK. The charity gives older people the opportunity to live independently within their communities for as long as possible. Elderly people are helped to keep warm and well, and to attend to a variety of activities based within the ‘59 Centre’: free tea and coffee, gentle exercise classes, a walking group, a lunch club, a bingo group. There are also outings to a wide range of locations, a craft group and a gardening group.

The project:

Belle Isle Senior Action is organising a Christmas hamper and is seeking raffle prizes and items for the hamper. The funds raised will enable older people to go on outings, and to attend to a variety of groups and sessions.

The ask:

  • Boxes of chocolates.

  • Bottles of wine.

  • Mince pies.

  • Biscuits.

  • Bags of pretzels.

  • Packs of nuts.

  • Packets of crisps.

  • Christmas cakes.

  • Boxes of tea or coffee.
