A charity on a mission to combat homelessness in Greater Manchester is in need of men’s clothing

Manchester-based charity Mustard Tree, which provides men and women in poverty with the essentials they need to live more comfortably, is in need of pre-loved men’s clothes to sell in their in-demand stores.

The charity:

Mustard Tree believes everyone living in the city of Manchester should have the opportunity to be a connected and valued member of society. The charity offers life-changing opportunities to homeless people in the city by providing daily essentials and creating a space where individuals can begin to make friends and build connections.

Mustard Tree’s programmes enable individuals to support themselves by providing practical connections and routes into work, while improving health and wellbeing. Sessions are offered weekly at locations in Ancoats and Salford, where job clubs, art drop-ins, English conversation clubs and computer confidence drop-ins are also available.

The project:

The charity currently raises money through charity fun runs, raffles and baked bean baths, and operates three community shops in Ancoats, Eccles and Little Hulton to support its fundraising efforts. The shops sell low-cost food, pre-loved clothing and household essentials such as furniture, white goods and electrical items. There is a gifting programme for people who have no recourse to public funds. The shops are currently running low on stocks of men’s clothing.

The ask:

  • Men’s clothing

Can you help?

Do you have any men’s clothing that you would be able to donate?

If you do, the charity will be thrilled!

Please go to www.agoodthing.org.uk and click on ‘Sign up’. It takes 30 seconds to register with us, and you can then post the item(s) you’re offering.
