A local charity in Northumberland is in need of plant pots and plants to update its community centre

Community@NE66 is a community and youth development charity based in Northumberland, dedicated to empowering young people who are considered vulnerable. It’s currently renovating its dated community centre to create a more welcoming space.

The charity:

Community@NE66 was set up in Alnwick in 2017 to support local young people and to promote social inclusion. The charity delivers informal education on sexual health and life skills, alongside offering community work, youth work and free counselling sessions.

The project:

The community centre, which belongs to the local county council, is looking very old and tired. The walls are in desperate need of painting. The charity would love to make it a more welcoming and pleasant place for the children to visit. The centre’s garden is also in need of some life and colour: Community@NE66 would love to be able to encourage the children to plant their own flowers and grow their own herbs and vegetables there.

The ask:

  • White paint

  • Plant pots

  • Plant seeds

Can you help?

Do you have any paint and/or plant pots that you would be able to donate?

If you do, the charity will be thrilled!

Please go to www.agoodthing.org.uk and click on ‘Sign up’. It takes 30 seconds to register with us, and you can then post the item(s) you’re offering.

Thank you so much in advance!
