Matchmade! £200 worth of Charity Shop Gift Cards donated to Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid
The team were thrilled when the Co-Founder of The Charity Shop Gift Card, Lee Fellows, responded to this charity's need. The local CIC had surplus gift cards to donate, which will enable BSWA to purchase the items they need from local charity shops.
It’s fantastic when things come together, and a business comes back to us to say they can help the charity out. Huge thanks to The Charity Shop Gift Card for their generosity and for committing to send less to landfill and more to a good cause!
A special thank you from the team at Sustainability West Midlands for introducing A Good Thing to fellow member Charity Shop Gift Card.

The project:
Women and children often arrive at a refuge with very few possessions of their own and are often experiencing poor mental health, trauma, low self-esteem, lack of confidence and depression. Whilst living in the refuge, Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid offers both women and children a variety of fun sessions to stimulate them and ease their emotional distress.
By sourcing provisions from generous local organisations, the charity will be able to provide and facilitate sessions specifically targeted to address and improve the mental health and wellbeing of all women and children in the refuge. The charity will be able to continue to empower women and children to become more independent and confident.
