Charity MADM is looking for bedding, towels and white goods to support families in Kent as they move into safe new accommodation

Making a Difference to Maidstone (MADM) is a Christian charity that supports individuals and families who find themselves in crisis through homelessness, domestic abuse, addiction, financial need, unemployment or relationship breakdown. The charity is in need of everyday household items to create cosy and comfortable homes for individuals and families whose lives have been uprooted.

The Charity:

MADM is made up of an outreach centre and a food bank, principally supported by donations and by sales made by its large charity shop. The charity was founded by Amanda Sidwell in 2015 to support the homeless, those in addiction, and all those who are socially isolated or disadvantaged in the Maidstone area. MADM’s dedicated and compassionate team of staff and volunteers strives to help, support, and reach out to the community of Maidstone, Kent.

MADM helps individuals and families to explore their full potential. It enables them to integrate into society, and to lead productive and positive lives within the local community. MADM’s aim is to ‘Make a Difference in Maidstone, in any way that we can!’

The Project:

MADM is currently supporting individuals and families as they move into new accommodation. The charity is on a mission to create safe and homely environments for people who have been relocated: to achieve this they need a whole range of appliances and everyday household items.

The ask:

• Bedding

• Towels

• Curtains 

• Kettles and toasters

• Irons  

• Fridges

• Washing machines
