Home-Start Ashford & District in Kent is looking for craft items, golf clubs, and refreshments

The Charity: 

Home-Start is a nationwide charity that offers compassionate, confidential help and expert support to children and families across the UK.

Home-Start Ashford & District is a local branch that supports families with at least one child under the age of eight who are experiencing difficulties. These difficulties can include feeling isolated in the community, managing a child’s physical or mental illness, and dealing with a separation or bereavement. Volunteers and staff provide home visits to offer support, friendship, and practical assistance to families to increase their confidence and independence.

The Project:

Home-Start Ashford & District runs various groups for children and families. For example, its ‘Chill with Dad’ group meets one evening a month to provide an opportunity for male carers to meet together without their children and socialise, share experiences, and participate in informal sessions. It also meets one weekend a month with the children to take part in organised activities.

The Ask:
