Home-Start South Warwickshire is seeking gifts of appreciation for its fantastic volunteers

“We’re there for parents when they need it most, because childhood can't wait.”

The charity:

Home-Start South Warwickshire is one of more than 200 local Home-Start schemes. These are small, independent charities that have a network of trained volunteers who (together with staff) support struggling families through their most challenging times. Families might be experiencing mental health difficulties, post-natal depression, health issues, isolation or loneliness, or they might be subject to domestic abuse.

Families receive one-to-one visiting support from Home-Start in their own homes, support that is designed to improve their parenting skills, boost their confidence and wellbeing, and help them with family management. Families are also helped to establish social networks, and take part in things like perinatal groups, child development courses, ‘mum 2 mum’ groups and dads’ support groups.

The project:

Home-Start South Warwickshire is looking to thank its fantastic volunteers. These volunteers are a crucial part of the charity’s mission to ensure that all families get the support they deserve, and the charity would love to be able to show them how much they are appreciated.

The ask:

• Gift items such as candles, gift sets, hampers or chocolates.
