Monitor needed for Home-Start Elmbridge, a charity supporting parents building better lives and futures for their children

The charity:

Home-Start Elmbridge is a Surrey-based charity, offering practical and emotional support to families with children under five, in their own homes. Dedicated Carer Support Coordinators work directly with families struggling with illness, disability or any additional needs, and offer a variety of different support groups and counselling services.

During 2022, through the hard work of 50 volunteers, Home-Start Elmbridge supported 176 families and 365 children, making a difference to multiple people’s lives.

The project:

Home-Start Elmbridge is looking for a monitor for its Family Support Coordinator. The monitor is absolutely crucial to her work, which includes:

  • Receiving referrals and assessing the needs of families.

  • Matching and introducing volunteers to families.

  • Providing support and supervision for home-visiting volunteers.

  • Advocating for children, and challenging other professionals to meet their needs.

The ask:

  • A monitor
