Imara CIO in Nottingham are seeking virtual reality (VR) headsets to support therapy sessions
The Charity:
Imara CIO are a charity providing therapy and advocacy support services across Nottinghamshire for children and families after a disclosure of sexual or domestic abuse.
Believing in compassionate commitment and creative empowerment, Imara work to restabilise families impacted by sexual or domestic abuse. They provide access to pre- and post-trial therapy, specialist support for acute trauma symptoms, and accurate and impartial information throughout the judicial process, helping also with education, health, housing, and financial matters.
The Project:
Imara are beginning to offer virtual reality as part of their suite of therapies, which also includes art, music, and dance and movement therapies. VR particularly appeals to boys and neurodivergent young people, for whom traditional therapies are not always as accessible or effective.
The ask:
2-3 VR headsets, ideally Quest 2 or 3.
