Somerset Youth Volunteering Network needs an anti-vandal site office and Heras fencing

The Charity:

The Somerset Youth Volunteering Network is a Glastonbury-based support service for struggling individuals, particularly post-COVID. Among other services, The Volunteer Network offers cooking sessions - teaching people how to cook using fresh produce grown from its allotment - ‘men’s shed’ projects, and a ladies gardening group.

The Project:

The Volunteer Network has spent the past two years operating its community allotment program, receiving the RHA Gardening for the Disabled Award for England for its work serving and empowering community members in need.

However, the network will unfortunately lose its current allotment location in September 2024. While generously being offered a new site by the town council, the network must build a secure space to store tools and equipment.

The Ask:

  • Anti-vandal site office

  • Heras-type fencing panels
