Vacuum cleaner needed for The Sherwood Forest Trust in Nottinghamshire

A wonderful charity that is keeping costs down by taking responsibility for their own cleaning is in need of a new vacuum cleaner to assist them with their job

The Charity:

The Sherwood Forest Trust, based in Nottinghamshire, is a brilliant charity that works with local communities to help to repair a fragmented landscape, for the benefit of nature and people.

The Project:

Despite what many people think, fragments of Sherwood's ancient woodland and heath are scattered over a wide area of Nottinghamshire, still surviving in the midst of modern housing and development. An example is Oaktree Heath - a rare natural habitat only a stone's throw from a housing estate and a Tesco superstore!

With the help of volunteers from local groups and businesses, the charity carries out practical hands-on projects from tree-planting with schools to heathland restoration work. The charity raises awareness of what's left of Sherwood Forest, and of why it needs to be preserved. It also runs heritage projects, encouraging people to find out more about the history of the area: the current project focuses on Sherwood Forest and its communities during World War Two.

The ask:

The team at The Sherwood Forest Trust is in need of a vacuum cleaner to keep their busy space super clean and welcoming.
