The Open Door Centre is in need of crafting items for their popular arts and crafts activity sessions

The charity:

The Open Door Centre (www.theopendoorcentre.co.uk) is a day resource for adults with learning disabilities – some of whom also have physical disabilities and mental health issues – in Swindon and the surrounding area. The charity welcomes members from all walks of life into its centre, and aims to enrich their lives socially and give them transferable skills that will aid them in their daily lives.

The Centre’s members are encouraged to be independent adults, understanding their rights and choices, in order to become respected, confident, valued members of society.

The project:

The charity’s members enjoy arts and crafts activities as part of relaxation and mindfulness activities, and also to practise and develop fine motor skills as part of literacy development. As such, the Open Door Centre is looking for donations of arts and crafts materials.

The ask:

  • Paper.

  • Pens.

  • Paint.

  • Glue.

Can you help?

Are you a business based in Swindon with any unwanted arts and crafts materials that you could donate? The Open Door Centre would be so grateful!

Please complete the short form below if you think you might be able to help.

Thank you so much in advance!

If you don’t have any of these materials to donate, but would still love to support the project, visit www.localgiving.org/the-open-door-centre-swindon to make a monetary donation, and the charity will be delighted.
